A Decorating Song

The day after Thanksgiving is tradition
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
We decorate our home with no sedition.
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Filled with lots of fights and laughter
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
By the end we’ve Yuletide treasure
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.

First, we bring down lots of boxes
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Filled with ornaments and with….foxes
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
See me nearly fall down the stairs
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Shelby’s all curled up in her chair
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.

Thousands of ornaments some time later
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Grace our tree, it ain’t a Seder
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Pooh and Mickey wearing red hats
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Don’t slip on the Christmas mat
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.

Now our home is very festive
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
It took so long, we’re no longer restive
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
Please come by soon and enjoy the sight
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la.
It shall stay until Christmas night
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!

you know, I just realized a week ago that Boxing Day (Dec 26) was actually in reference to boxing up the decorations. Heh, I always thought for some reason that Canadians celebrated sports where you beat the crap out of each other on the day after Christmas.
I know, I am a blond at heart.
